Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's location is fantastic, right in the heart of the village with included parking. The rooms are clean and comfortable, boasting a very cozy bed and a fantastic shower. However, it was a letdown that the windows couldn't open due to the warm temperature during my stay. The staff, especially the cleaner, were all very friendly despite a slight delay during check-out when there was a lack of personnel around all day. The location suited our needs perfectly and was ideal for attending a party nearby, and it's conveniently situated for exploring Saunton, Croyd Bay, and Woolacombe bay. The dining experience was great, with excellent portions that truly embodied Devon's culinary delights, even though the menu could use a bit more variety. As for facilities, everything was in order, making my stay pleasant and hassle-free.
The hotel has its ups and downs. The rooms are very well decorated with all amenities, though there was a bit of a stale odor that made me feel like it might have had a smoker in before us. A mini freshen up is needed to keep up with the wear and tear. The location was excellent for exploring Braunton but getting a taxi could be a challenge. The dining experience had its highs and lows, with very good service but sometimes slow and poor on Christmas Day. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms, though spacious and well-furnished, had a noisy ventilation system next to them, which was a bit bothersome. The location was convenient for my surfing lessons, but the noise from traffic and machines disrupted the peace. The dining experience was enjoyable with well-cooked meals from a friendly family-run restaurant. The service was exceptional, particularly thanks to the assistant lady manager who made extra efforts to ensure our comfort and happiness.
